Overview

Casterne Hall is in a unique setting standing proudly at the top of a long and winding drive with breathtaking views across the Manifold Valley. Very few places in England can make the most important day in your life more magical or romantic. The house itself is on the scale of a life-size dolls' house creating intimacy and grandeur on a miniature scale.

We have a license which can accommodate up to 70 guests for your reception which would be held in the beautiful Main Hall, Drawing Room and Oak Room, all of which have recently undergone extensive refurbishment.

Alternatively it is possible to erect a marquee at the front of the house connecting through the front door, giving you greater flexibility for numbers and the opportunity to have a band and dance floor.

Facilities

We have available several bedrooms and bathrooms for your use during the day.

The kitchen is ‘state of the art’ and extremely well equipped for caterers to prepare both canapes and a very special meal.

The positioning of the house is such that it creates an ideal backdrop for firework displays.

There is a lovely terrace accessed from the Drawing Room with outdoor seating and tables. The gardens are mostly laid out below the house and have all been recently replanted with beautiful herbaceous borders and roses. There is plenty of seating to enable you to relax and savour the moment, creating memories for your lifetime.

Up to 24 guests can be accommodated for a sit down meal.

There is ample parking space and an area to land a helicopter.

Organisation

We have gained extensive experience over the years and are able to advise you on the finer details of your day and take some of the organisational resonsibility from your shoulders. We are more than willing to liase with caterers, florists, photographers, marquees providers etc. You are however more than welcome to make your own arrangements.
